Ready, Set and GO!!!!

We have finally learned our dates for travel!  After waiting for just shy of a year from sending in our LOI, that we are less than two weeks away from traveling back to China!  This will be our third trip and it looks to be full of lots of exciting adventures for our family!

We are still finding out all the complete details but for now we know we will leave for China on Oct. 24th, arriving in Beijing late night of Oct. 25th.  We plan on two days of sight seeing (and body clock shifting) in Beijing before leaving for Nanning, the province capital in Guangxi Province.  Declan officially joins our family on Monday, Oct. 29th!  After processing our paperwork in the province capital, we are acutally going to tour Guilin (about 5 hours away from Nanning) for a few days!  This is every exciting for us as both Aiden and Declan are from Guilin and not only are we excited to see where our boys are from, we hear the area is absolutely beautiful! If you have the chance, look for the National Geographic special "Wild China" where there is an episode that is focused on Guilin. Its a truly great series! We will be transferring to Guangzhou, in the Guangdong province on Sunday, Nov 4th for our medical exams and visit to the American Embassy.  Once we are done there, we are moving to Hong Kong where we have another two days of down time before traveling home on Sunday, November 11th.

It's a long trip, and we are sure to be tired but we are excited we will be able to visit and see so many special locations along the journey to bring Declan home.

Needless to say, we are packing, looking at weather reports, unpacking, repacking and in our "pre-travel" funk!  I know these last couple of days will seem to drag on slowly but before I know it, it will be time to go I will feel totally unprepared!
